Serena is a 22 year old international showjumper and eventer competing up to 4* 1.45m ranking classes, 1.50m Area Trials and 3* international FEI eventing.
Serena made her mark on the professional circuit from a young age, representing England on ponies. Serena produced the 148cm pony stallion Kilcurry Dawn up the pony showjumping grades culminating in 6th place in the prestigious Foxhunter final at HOYS in 2016. Kilcurry Dawn went on to become one of the top ponies in Europe with his next jockey.
Over the last 4 years she has been very fortunate to be working with some of the top trainers and professionals in the industry, including the GB Youth Team and Olympic GB team trainers. With their amazing support and help she was 4th in the under 21 British Eventing National championships in 2021.
In 2021 she returned to focus more on her first passion of showjumping to source and produce world class showjumpers. The valuable experience she gained from all her flatwork and dressage training is now being applied to give her an edge in training and producing the showjumpers. She is very fortunate and grateful to be mentored and coached by GB Olympic Team showjumper, Holly Smith.
Yard manager/headgroom
Lauren is the team’s ‘super groom’. She is responsible for the smooth running of yard and delivers the highest standards of care and attention for the horses.
She has been with the team for over 2 years and loves and cares for every horse as an individual.
Rebecca’s role is never the same from one day to the next. You will find her as everything from lorry driver, show groom, in-house vet, nutrition and care advisor to Christmas day groom. Very often you will find her patiently standing with a horse encouraging him to see people as the answer to any problem he might face and in this way she helps him to be responsive, willing and focused and then progress to be able to take a step out his comfort zone and into a lorry, close up to a tractor or just standing chilled at the mounting block. Whatever the horse’s problem or worry, Rebecca will find a way to help and give him the confidence he needs to overcome it.
Lorne owns 3 of the team’s horses and we are very grateful to her for her continued support.
